Scotts Precision Manufacturing: New wider Trinity haulm topper

Scotts Precision Manufacturing has added a new model to its class-leading line up of haulm toppers. Available in time for 2019’s harvest, the new Trinity 30B offers a wider cutting width than current models.

The new topper is 300cm wide, capable of handling either three 90cm or four 75cm rows. It also features new side lights, remote greasing points, front LED work lights and a sturdy metal toolbox, which have been added to all Scotts’ 2019 toppers.

“We’ve enjoyed incredible interest in our range of toppers over the last six months, and enquires have gone through the roof,” the company’s managing director, Derek Scott, said. “The banning of Diquat and growing awareness of the high-quality standards and performance set by the Trinity 22B have helped.

“One thing that soon became apparent was the small but significant number of growers still committed to the three row 108-inch system. It’s taken quite a bit of work and innovating, but we’ve managed to give the 30B the increased transmission capacity it needs to work across three or four rows. Despite not formally launching the new model, we’ve taken several pre-orders from customers, which is fantastic.”

Scotts’ Trinity 30B will appeal to growers committed to the three-row 108-inch system.

Like the Trinity 22B, the new Trinity 30B features quick-change flails for reduced downtime, a broad range of cutting heights, static shear plates to provide a mulching effect, a replaceable steel inner liner for hood protection and the largest variation of flail lengths of any topper currently available. The flat and steeply curved flail design offer by far the best suction on the market.

Established in 1994, Scotts Precision Manufacturing specialises in the design and manufacturing of highly efficient vegetable handling equipment. Its products, such as the Evolution separator, often feature in full handling line solutions supplied by leading manufacturers, but can also be retrofitted by farmers looking to upgrade.
