Väderstad’s new BreakMix point specifically deals with compaction down to 30cm in heavier soils, while also providing intensive mixing of the top soil. It will be available for all the company’s tine cultivators from May 2018.
The BreakMix point is intended for primary or secondary cultivations and adds versatility, lowers input costs and most importantly improves the agronomical working results. The point is reinforced with tungsten to extend its working life.
“Since bacteria and fungi are most active in the topsoil, it’s essential to mix residues in the top 10cm of soil for a faster decomposition,” Väderstad marketing manager Andy Gamble said. “By not mixing at depth, BreakMix avoids pulling up clods to the surface.”
