Agrifac: MountainMasterPlus sprays steeper slopes

Agrifac’s MountainMasterPlus feature allows safe spraying of sloping fields. The company’s Condor sprayer fitted with the system uses the Agrifac StabiloPlus chassis with adjustable ground clearance of 130 to 200cm on every wheel. Adjustable cylinders at each corner level the machine on steep slopes.

This automatic levelling system ensures a perfectly stable machine on both axis – left/right as well as front/back. This makes it perfectly safe and comfortable working at steep slopes. The weight distribution stays equal over all wheels. This ensures more grip, less slip and less fuel consumption.

The Agrifac Condor MountainMasterPlus is the first machine that makes it possible to work safely on steep slopes with a water tank of up to 5,000 litres and booms of up to 48m wide.

A big benefit of the MountainMasterPlus in the crop is that the sprayer always stays parallel to the crop. Other sprayers can damage the crops in hilly conditions as the sprayer is parallel to the field instead of what’s growing there.

The Agrifac system can level the sprayer in any direction at slopes up to 32 degrees.

To keep the machine level the operator doesn’t have to do anything, as everything works fully automatically. The operator is informed about the actual state of leveling via the EcoTronicPlus screen.

Adjustments to slopes are carried out extremely quickly. Every cylinder can go fully up or down in eight seconds. That will allow the sprayer to a turn through 180 degrees on a hill at a turning radius of 20m and a driving speed of 15km/hr. This means that turns don’t need to be taken any slower than standard machines on level ground.

To keep the spraying as accurate as possible, Agrifac has chosen to let the boom move with the slopes so that it is always level to the field.
