Two new foldable power harrows have been added to Kuhn’s HR range of machines, which now features working widths from 1.2 to 8.0m for tractors from 80 to 500hp.
The HR6040R (6m working width) and HR8040R (8m working width) are primarily aimed at agricultural contractors and large arable farms and are capable of working up to 100ha/day.
Both machines are fitted as standard with an intelligent monitoring system that relays torque and oil temperature data back to the tractor cab so that the operator can closely scrutinise the machine’s operating parameters.
The latest HR machines have been designed to provide maximum reliability, with all components, including central and side gearboxes, casings, rotor drive, transmission units and oil circulation systems capable of withstanding the power and torque delivered by 460hp (HR6040R) and 500hp (HR8040R) tractors.
Each of the new machines uses 3.5 rotors/metre of working width to maximise their operational efficiency, and rotor speed can be adjusted up to a maximum of 500rpm. Working depth and levelling bar indexing can also be adjusted from the tractor cab.
A large range of additional equipment including track eradicators and rollers is also available.
