The development of Sulky’s top-of-the-range mounted spreaders continues with the arrival of the new X40+ and X50+ models, achieving working widths of 44m and 50m respectively.
Both models use Sulky’s well-established and patented Epsilon spreading system. Capable of achieving application rates of 520kg/min, they allow spreading at high forward speed, even at high application rates.
A number of new features on this latest range of spreaders enable greater ease of use and enhanced performance.
New wraparound mudguard housings in a stable composite material are fitted as standard and protect the machine from soil projection when spreading in wet conditions at high speed.
Access ladders are fitted as standard on the right and left on the X50+ model to provide better access to the hopper, particularly when loading machines with the highest capacity. A ladder is available as an option of the X40+ model.
The patented Tribord 3D system makes it possible to switch from spreading for yield optimisation to spreading in environmental mode, without leaving the cab. The Tribord 3D is standard on the right-hand side and is also available on the left-hand side as an option on Isobus versions, controlled from Sulky’s Universal Terminal.
Isobus versions of the entire X40+/X50+ range are available, and which work particularly well with the new Sulky Quartz 800 terminal.
The Econov version models offer section cut-offs and numerous additional functions, exclusive to Sulky, that enable farmers to achieve accuracy levels never before achieved with centrifugal fertilising.
Econov features include 12 spreading sections, each of which can be managed separately and in all configurations, using the fertiliser placement point on the discs. This includes the option to open just the end section alone.
The spreading area is uniquely curved and exclusive to Sulky. This spreading shape management maximises efficiency on headlands by matching the reality of centrifugal spreading. Additionally, Independent right/left variable rate by GPS, exclusive to Sulky, earned the company an innovation award at Sima 2015.
