Sulky: Quartz 800 Isobus universal terminal

Sulky has launched its new Isobus universal terminal, the Quartz 800, to provide additional precision when spreading fertiliser with its X40+ and X50+ spreaders.

The eight-inch colour touch terminal is packed full of technology and offers farmers the ability to maximise accuracy and cost-effectiveness when spreading fertiliser.

The terminal enables the spreading area to be managed on a curve to achieve headland stopping and starting without over- or under-application.

Each of the 12 spreading sections can be managed separately, and in all configurations, whatever the working width. Additionally the terminal manages right/left modulation by GPS, for which Sulky received an innovation award at SIMA 2015.

The ergonomics of the Isobus interface have been carefully designed by Sulky. Machine control and guidance are simultaneously visible on the display while working, which ensures seamless navigation and easy control of the spreader.

The Quartz 800 Isobus Universal Terminal combined with the Sulky Isolink converter enables farmers to take advantage of a 100 per cent Sulky Isobus solution, for maximum compatibility and efficiency.

However, for farmers that already have an Isobus terminal all that is required to control the spreader is Sulky’s Isolink to connect to the existing terminal. Even better, each Sulky spreader in the X40+ and X50+ range can be operated in Isobus with the Sulky Universal Terminal or in non-Isobus mode with a standard terminal. This is particularly advantageous where a spreader is shared between farms, or used in a machinery ring.
