Trimble Agriculture: New displays add increased precision farming flexibility

Cambridgeshire-based Trimble reseller AS Communications (UK) is now able to offer increased flexibility within its range of guidance displays to suit the varying precision farming needs of growers across the UK.

In addition to the Trimble CFX-750 display, that can be used for application control and with all Trimble steering solutions for auto guidance, the company is also now able to offer the option of a low-price CFX-750 Lite display.

The CFX-750 Lite display provides a simplified setup for new users of precision farming technology that’s fully upgradeable to application control and auto guidance in the future.

Also launched at the end of 2015 was a specialised Trimble TMX-2050 display focusing on the Precision-IQ application already developed on standard versions of this display. The specialised Precision-IQ version of the TMX-2050 display provides a graphics-rich and intuitive workflow in a custom application for auto guidance with standardised protocols including Isobus.

Trimble has also added several new third-party apps to the Android-based TMX-2050 display to allow operators access to mobile apps for specific farming operations. These include diagnostic tools to identify and address implement error codes, fertiliser calibration charts and work order and documentation-based software applications for agriculture.

The apps are available for download from the App Central marketplace on the display, providing a range of mobile tools that help address exact farming needs and simplify farm management.
