Massey Ferguson: Agritechnica debut for 130hp MF 5713 SL

Massey Ferguson will be introduce the 130hp MF 5713 SL at Agritechnica 2015.  The new model has a 2.55m wheelbase and weighs just 4.8t, which combines a great power to weight ratio with superb agility. As well as being the perfect loader tractor, it’s also ideally suited to a wide range of field and transport work, offering best in class, practical features.

The MF 5713 SL is powered by the very latest Agco Power 4.4 litre, four-cylinder engine. This meets Stage IV emission regulations using an unique all-in-one selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system that doesn’t sacrifice power, efficiency, maintenance, ground clearance or, importantly, visibility. It’s also proven to help reduce fuel consumption.

The all-in-one technology the SCR system and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) are contained together in a compact assembly that tucks away neatly under the right-hand side of the cab. It remains maintenance free, and even the exhaust pipe is the same size as before.

The highly efficient design employs a special “swirl system” that thoroughly mixes the exhaust gases and AdBlue. This advanced and compact solution for achieving Stage IV compatibility has allowed Massey Ferguson’s Engineers to produce a tractor that blends outstanding visibility with high performance, fuel economy and minimal service and maintenance.

Other changes include a new electronically controlled wastegate turbocharger and latest fourth generation common-rail fuel injection to improve engine responsiveness and overall performance.

A compact cooling package maintains the superb visibility offered by the steep nosed bonnet. Specially designed air inlets and outlets on the bonnet channel the incoming and outgoing air around the engine to further improve cooling efficiency.

The MF 5713 SL comes with a unique choice of three hydraulic systems that allow users to select exactly the right system to suit their specific applications.

The MF 5713 SL can be specified with either the well-proven Dyna-4 or Dyna-6 transmissions.

An efficient twin-pump system is standard. This delivers 58 lit/min for the spool valves and linkage, with a separate pump for all internal services. For those requiring extra flow – to boost loader performance – there’s also the 100 lit/min combined flow system.

A 110 lit/min closed-centre, load-sensing system is another option, delivering flow and pressure on demand for optimum output, control and economy. This also comes with fingertip spool valve controls or electronic joystick.

The MF 5713 SL can be specified with the choice of either the well-proven Dyna-4 or Dyna-6 efficient and easy-to-use transmissions. Both come with the useful brake-to-neutral function and the option of AutoDrive, that provides automatic changing of the four or six steps in fieldwork, as well as the ranges when in transport.

The spacious MF 5713 SL cab is the same as that fitted to the MF 7726, providing best-in-class comfort and with sophisticated, but straightforward control. This has a new clear dashboard colour display that’s the same as that used on the top-of-the-range MF 8700 Series.

Speedsteer is a practical option that varies the number of steering wheel revolutions needed to turn the wheels from lock-to-lock. Massey Ferguson’s Auto-Guide 3000 automatic steering and the AgCommand telemetry system are also both options, which can also be supplied fully-installed from the factory.

The MF 5713 SL is also available with the option of front axle suspension, developed and built by Massey Ferguson, as an integral part of the design.
