Horsch: New Terrano is 12m wide

Horsch will launch the latest addition to its large cultivator range at Agritechnica 2015 with introduction of the Terrano 12 FM.

Designed for todays large tractors, the 12.5m wide, four-bar cultivator can fold to a transport width of 3m. The frame height is 600 mm. There will also be a version that folds to 3.6m with a frame height of 800mm for markets where the transport width is not limited.

The Terrano 12 FM is equipped with the TerraGrip III tine from the Focus TD, with a release force of 550kg. The cultivator has 45 tines with a tine spacing of 27cm and 108cm inter-row spacing. It’s ideal for shallow stubble cultivation and tillage. Mixing is very intensive and levelling is excellent as the tines stay in the soil for a long time and take soil with them.

The 12m Terrano folds to 3m wide for transport.

The spacing of 108cm in the row allows for an excellent passage of the soil, and due to the tine spacing of 27cm the horsepower requirement of the Terrano 12 FM, despite its large working width, is relatively low even when carrying out deeper tillage.

Horsch recommends tractor power between 430 and 600hp. A row of discs behind the tines guarantees perfect levelling in front of the packer. The middle chassis is similar to that of the Joker 12 RT, and there’s a double RollPack packer for efficient consolidation.
