Pöttinger UK has announced the appointment of Harrison Tractors Ltd to represent its products from premises at March, in Cambridgeshire. The franchise was awarded after the closure of previous dealer, Bennett & Tegerdine.
“Having seen strong sales of Pöttinger tillage equipment in the area in recent years, it was critical we secured a forward-thinking partner to take on the Pöttinger franchise,” Pöttinger UK’s general manager, Shaun Groom, said. “Not only to continue sales of new products, but importantly to ensure we can offer our existing customers a good level of local aftersales support.”
The managing director of Harrison Tractors, James Harrison, said when the opportunity arose to become a Pöttinger dealer arose, he jumped at the chance.
“Already owning several items of Pöttinger equipment in our farming business, and having visited the factory in Austria last year, I could see that the Pöttinger franchise would be a great addition to our machinery business,” he added. “Needless to say, we are excited about being able to offer the Pöttinger range and look forward to growing sales locally even further.”
Joining the team at Harrison Tractors is Rob Bennett. A familiar face too many in the locality, Rob has been instrumental in the success of Pöttinger sales in the local area during the past few years.
“The knowledge and experience of Pöttinger products that Rob Bennett possesses will be of great benefit to Harrison Tractors and its customers,” Mr Groom said. “Harrison Tractors has, during the past 10 years, built a great reputation for supplying quality used equipment to a wide range of customers. This gives us great confidence that James and the team will be a professional and reliable partner to continue the representation of Pöttinger in the area.”
