MTS Group and J Wood & Son (Bilsdale Ploughs) Ltd have formed a strategic partnership to provide sales, service and parts support for the Bobcat range of compact loaders, compact excavators, telescopic handlers, utility vehicles and attachments for the farming sector in Ryedale and the surrounding areas in North Yorkshire.
MTS Group, based at Wakefield in West Yorkshire, has been the authorised Bobcat Dealer for Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Headquartered in the North Yorkshire market town of Kirkbymoorside, J Wood & Son is a well-established agricultural machinery dealer that also includes Case IH among its franchises and celebrated 140 years in business in 2014.
The managing director of MTS Group, Peter Watson, said he was delighted to form the new partnership.
“As a very long standing business, J Wood & Son has excellent connections in the agricultural industry that go back decades, which is why we feel that they are the perfect organisation to further promote Bobcat machinery to this market sector in Ryedale and the surrounding areas,” he added. “We believe this will be the start of a long and prosperous relationship between our two organisations, and will see the sales of new Bobcat machines and attachments grow across North Yorkshire.”
The new partnership was recognised with the presence of new Bobcat compact loaders at J Wood & Son’s annual open day at the end of October. The event attracted a large number of customers who came to take a look at the wide selection of machinery on offer, including three new Bobcat skid-steer loader models that attracted plenty of attention. Experienced staff from both MTS Group and Bobcat were present to answer queries from interested visitors.
