Maschio Gaspardo UK will launch the new Maga eight-row precision drill at Lamma 2015. The new unit is an ideal choice for contractors who drill forage and biogas maize as its design includes variable row width settings, from 45cm to 75cm.
The Maga comes fitted with an MTR planting unit that gives precision planting at greater speeds, allowing higher outputs. Key features of this seeding unit are the large (420mm diameter) double discs and Arm-Strong parallelogram linkages that together give the greater stability needed for higher speeds and ensure a constant seeding depth is achieved. The Maga is also suitable for drilling in minimum-tilled soils.
This hydraulic-folding maize drill closes down to 3m for easy and safe road transport.
Other features include: the Muller Precimat control box; double drive transmission; a 36-litre seed hopper; and a 900 litre stainless steel hopper for big bag fertilisers. A 30-litre microgranule applicator can also be fitted.
The Maschio Gaspardo eight-row Maga with 900-litre fertiliser tank will retail at £41,046 (price correct at January 2015).
