A Pneumatic Rear Wheel Kit is now available for Maschio rotary cultivators in the C and SC series. Fitting the wheels increases the above-ground clearance of the blades and enables bulky vegetable crop residues to be easily mulched. It will also be useful for breaking down old game cover crops.
“The Maschio C and SC ranges of rotary cultivators come fitted as standard with either skids, or a crumbler or packer roller,” Maschio specialist David Day said. “By replacing them with the wheels so that surface crop residues, like cauliflowers, can be chopped up and left to rot down, fields are then easier to plough.”
The five models in the C series of rotavators have working widths from 2.1-3.1m, a working depth of 27cm, and require 60-130hp tractors. The four models of the heavier SC series are suitable for use with tractors up to 170hp, have working widths from 2.35-3.1m, and a working depth of 28cm.
The Pneumatic Rear Wheel Kit retails at £1,365+VAT (correct at July 2014) and fits all models of C and SC rotary cultivators.
