The Deutz-Fahr tractor brand has returned to Dorset following MJ Fry Agricultural Engineering’s decision to take on the franchise.
Based at New Grove Barn, Martinstown, Dorset, the company is headed up by Mike Fry, who said he was both pleased and excited at the prospect of marketing a range of tractors that currently spans the 23-270hp power band and will offer a 440hp model from next year.
“There’s no doubt that Deutz-Fahr tractors are quality machines,” he added. “Well built, powered by Deutz engines, comfortable to operate and, above all, amazingly reliable.”
He said that despite being in a predominantly livestock farming area, there was an increasing demand for more powerful tractors to operate machinery such as high-capacity diet feeders, balers and mowers.
Customer response has been positive, to the point that after only a few weeks after taking on the Deutz-Fahr franchise, Mr Fry had already sold two new tractors.
