Patchwork will show upgraded versions of its BlackBox Go and Advance implement control systems, and launch a new WebTrack 3 module designed specifically for contractors, at Cereals 2014.
The latest BlackBox models offer wider compatibility than ever before. They’re able to control more implements, integrate with more farm management software solutions and tie in with more precision farming partners.
Patchwork has now configured the systems to control a series of new planters, drills, fertiliser spreaders and sprayers. The latest additions are: Bogballe, Kuhn and Sulky spreaders; Berthoud, Hardi and Bargam sprayers; and Standen, Horsch and Vaderstad planters and drills.
The BlackBox Go and Advance models from Patchwork are true fourth-generation GPS systems that bring essential cost-saving features at a more manageable price than comparable models.
Underpinning the range are Terrain Compensation and Headland Management, which are included as standard on both models. Each unit sold is also covered by lifetime, UK-based support.
Unlike existing financial and farm management systems, the new Contractor Module from Patchwork has been designed specifically for contractors, by people who understand the challenges they face to record and bill work completed.
The new module, which runs through Patchwork’s Web Track 3 visual field management system, offers a range of features to help contractors run the business side of their operations more smoothly. It will help to automate the quoting, invoicing and verifying of work – making finances more efficient and improving cash flow.
Reducing the delay between completing work and invoicing is one of the toughest tasks for contractors – especially in the height of the season – however, it’s often poor cash flow that’s the biggest threat to a business. The new module automates much of this process, helping to keep the payment cycle short.
It’s highly effective when used in conjunction with a BlackBox system as the work is already recorded and instantly uploaded to WebTrack 3 for invoicing. However, the module is also powerful business tool for non-BlackBox customers.
