All commercial business activates of Kellands Agricultural and Multidrive Tractors, including sales, parts and service support, will continue as usual with the existing employees remaining.
The director of sales and marketing, Keith Pashley, will head up the Kellands team and will report directly to the Alamo Group Europe’s head of agriculture in the UK, Christian Davies. Chris Kelland, who founded the company in 1987 will continue to represent the business as a non-exclusive sales agent for the sales territories of Australia and New Zealand.
Alamo’s acquisition will provide the firm with a platform to carry its existing products. |
“This is a part of continuing business strategy to enter into the agricultural self-propelled sprayer market,” Christain Davies said. “Additionally, the Multidrive unit will provide a tractor platform for carrying a range of equipment for both our agricultural and Industrial businesses.”
The managing director of Alamo Group Europe Ltd, Dr Geoffrey Davies, described the move as an exciting development in the firm’s European operations that would assist it in broadening its presence in the manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery.
