Horsch has developed the UK’s largest cultivating disc seed drill, a 12m version of its Pronto DC, with a transport width of just 3m.
The drill is the largest that can be legally moved on UK roads thanks to its innovative new folding mechanism. The transport width is a significant reduction on the 5.5m width of the Pronto 12 SW (which is available for markets such as Russia and the Ukraine) and well ahead of the competition.
The development of the Pronto 12 DC has been driven by requests from customers, and the new model joins its sister product, the 12m Sprinter cultivating tine seed drill, for the UK market.
Both models offer farmers and contractors ability to cover large acreages when time is tight.

The Pronto DC is available with working widths between 3.0-9.0m, in addition to the new model. Designed for high-speed precise sowing after plough, mulch sowing or direct seeding, each model has a low horsepower requirement.
Precise depth control thanks to preconfigured packer system and Turbo Disc seed coulter is a key feature of the Pronto.
