Vicon’s rake line-up for the 2014 season sees a new model arrive that addresses the issue of transport height for these wider working machines.
The twin rotor Andex 904C Hydro offers hydraulic adjustment of its working width from 8.0-9.0m, creating a central swath measuring from 1.2-2.2m in width. Away from the field, this latest model has been cleverly engineered to make high-capacity rakes much more user friendly and simpler to transport.
The twin-rotor 904C Hydro benefits from a new axle design that allows the chassis to be lowered by 40cm, reducing overall height for transport. The result is a transport height of less than 4.0m, and for many operators this means avoiding the need to leave the cab and remove tines arms for transport.
With a lower overall transport height, the Andex 904C Hydro achieves a lower centre of gravity, boosting overall stability.
Equipped with a heavy-duty, maintenance-free ProLine gearbox and a revised cam track design, expect a much more uniform swath from this new version, to compliment harvester and baler performance.
