Trailed hoppers with 3,500 litre and 6,500 litre capacities will be unveiled by Kuhn at Agritechnica 2013; these new developments offer options for transport and distribution of seed and fertiliser for a wide range of applications.
The multi-purpose TT3500 and TT6500 trailed hoppers have category-three rear attachment as standard to allow coupling of coulter bars (where they would function as a large capacity seed hopper) or precision seed drills (delivery of starter fertiliser). In either case, the trailed hoppers offer significant increases in operation efficiency by reducing the time for refills.
The TT3500 is fitted with an electrically driven metering unit and is suitable for coulter bars or precision seed drills up to a working width of 6.0m. The TT6500 is intended for very high output operations, featuring two metering units that will supply coulter bars or precision seed drills of up to 9.0m working width.
Both the TT3500 and TT6500 are Isobus machines that can be monitored directly by the tractor terminal (if compatible) or by a CCI100 control terminal. Additional equipment to add versatility includes twin wheels, a loading/unloading auger and various tractor couplings.
