Blaney Agri manufactures the Forager X10 Bale Unroller, a one-tractor operation to help to feed livestock in a tenth of the time with a lot less effort compared to manual work, while reducing wastage and increasing livestock weight gain for greater profitability.
The system has a unique self-contained loading system to handle round bales (4ft x 4ft or 6ft x 5ft). Simply disengage the bale bed to reveal the spring tines. Reverse up to the bale and the Forager X10 lifts it and loads it, all at the push of a lever. Pick up the loaded bale bed with the tines and you’re all set and ready to feed.
The Blaney Agri Forager X10 works faster than any diet feeder, and you can easily control the amount of silage dispensed with the adjustable output function as standard. By only feeding the required amount of silage needed on a daily basis, the silage is fresher and more palatable to livestock.
The Forager X10’s tines can also be used as a bale spike. These sprung tines are designed for maximum strength and are ideal for dealing with wet and heavy bales. The innovative design with the two tines a different length, allows for easy coupling into the bale bed. The tines are also easily replaceable.
The bale unroller is ideal for getting into tight spaces and narrow passageways. It’s suitable for use with tractors of 70hp or more, and can feed up both sides of the passage.
Drawing from the company’s agricultural background and a wealth of experience, design engineers at Blaney Agri have developed the machine to specifically work with wet and saggy bales. The Forager X10 comes with optional unique side rollers to make easy work of unrolling the most misshapen bale.
A version is also available to attach to a loader, giving users the ability to reach stacked bales. The Forager X10L can be fitted to any front loader or telehandler to make lifting, loading and feeding bales a one-man and one-tractor operation.
Prices of the Forager X10 start at £4,500 (correct at October 2013), with optional loader version, wet bale kit, side rollers and flow control kit.
