The new 3.6-litre, four-cylinder Deutz engine employs efficient, straightforward technology including exhaust gas recirculation and a diesel oxidation catalyst to provide a simple, maintenance-free method to meet the exhaust emissions rules. This delivers superb performance and economy with simple maintenance, which means the telehandler spends more time working and requiring no extra servicing commitments for the operator.
The new engines remain in their existing laterally, side-mounted position that provides superb access for service and cooling. The new engines develop 100hp in the 6m, 3t MF 9306 Xtra and 7m, 3.5t MF 9407 Xtra, and 122hp for the 7m, 3.5m MF 9407 S Xtra.
To accommodate the new engine, its mounting bay and cooling package are altered slightly, but this is still all encased under the low “bonnet” on the driver’s right-hand side, retaining great visibility.
To further ease operation, Massey Ferguson is introducing a new joystick option that allows operators to select forward, neutral or reverse using a simple rocker switch, without having to remove their left hand from the steering wheel. This option replaces the standard left-hand direction lever and provides better comfort and convenience for operators.
MF’s 9000 Series telehandlers feature a short, wide chassis that’s stable and manoeuvrable. |
Otherwise, the previous MF 9000 Series’ market-leading features remain unchanged, with the unique and patented curved rear window providing unrivalled, industry-leading visibility to the rear right three quarters, with no cab post to obstruct the view. This allows operators to see all four wheels.
The short, wide chassis combines the benefits of superb stability with exceptional manoeuvrability from the standard four-wheel-steer system. The two-range hydrostatic transmission provides a true 40km/hr top road speed to boost performance and for fast, efficient transport.
Standard four-wheel steering, with auto-changing mode, and the compact design provide an exceptional turning radius, which allows the agile loaders to excel in confined spaces. There’s also the option to fit wide tyres to all models.
The novel boom configuration has a low, 1.75m, rear pivot point that offers a clear view of the rear right-hand side. A closed-centre load sensing hydraulic system generates high flow rates of up to 190 litr/min to deliver a fast and powerful response to improve loading times.
Precise and smooth operation of all boom functions is ensured by the proportional joystick and electro-hydraulic spool valves. Load sensing allows three functions to be used at the same time, while also providing very precise control.
Massey Ferguson offers a choice of tool carriages to fit existing attachments from wide range of manufacturers.
