The new Lamborghini Nitro made its debut at the 2013 Sima Show, bringing a brand new look to the brand in a tractor that also features all the latest technology on board.
With styling by Giugiaro Design, the Nitro’s shiny white bodywork is adorned by a matte black stripe that crosses the whole engine hood and side panels. Combined with LED lights above the lamp assembly, the overall impression is a tractor range having a new, aggressive personality.
The wide honeycomb front grille not only underlines the sporty flair of the Nitro, but helps to optimise the cooling, and consequently the overall efficiency, of the tractor’s Deutz engine. The 3.6–litre power unitfeatures specially shaped combustion chambers and common rail fuel injection for the best performance in terms of power and torque, and reduced fuel consumption. The engine meets the Stage IIIB exhaust emissions standard thanks to its post-treatment diesel oxidation catalyst that reduces NOx.
With four different engine power ratings, the Nitro range is available in 100hp, 110hp 120hp and 130hp and comes with a choice of transmissions – mechanical, powershift or CVT.
The Nitro’s hydraulic systems are designed to exploit the tractor’s potential to the full with single- or double–pump systems with flow rates of 60 or 90 lit/min. Up to five rear remote control valves are available, along with a powerful and precise 6,600kg electronically controlled rear linkage. Lamborghini’s SDD rapid steering system, front axle suspension and the PowerBrake power–assisted braking system is also featured on the tractor.
The new cab is the result of ergonomic studies that focused entirely on the operator, optimising the position of all the controls. The participation of Giugiaro Design ensured the practicality and appearance of the cab.
