Czech Republic-based tractor manufacturer Zetor has added round balers to its Zetor System machinery range. Introduced toUK farmers at Lamma 2013, the fixed-chamber Columbia and the variable-chamber Syria are built by Italian manufacturerTonutti Wolagri and cost from £17,000.
The Columbia balers include the fixed–chamber R10 that creates bales 120cm wide and 120cm in diameter. The baler has a 193cm wide pick-up feeding into a chain-and-crossbar compression chamber via a rotary packer. The baler needs a minimum 45hp.

The Syria 160 variable–chamber baler needs at least 80hp and produces bales 120cm wide and from 80-160cm in diameter. It has a 228cm wide pick-up that feeds into the compression chamber – featuring three rollers and five rubber belts – via a 14-knife cutting system.
