A new tractor brand will make its debut at Lamma 2013 when Turkish company Erkunt Tractor Industries Inc displays three models from its ArmaTrac range.
B
ased at Ankara, the tractor manufacturer was founded in 2003 as an offshoot of Erkunt Industries Inc, which has been producing metal castings for more than 60 years with customers including John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Steyr, Same and Valtra. It produces tractors from 50-110hp powered by Perkins and Deutz engines and featuring front axles and transmissions from the likes of ZF and Carraro.
ArmaTrac now builds 6,500 tractors a year and has risen to number three out of 32 active brands in the Turkish market.

The company’s general manager, Zeynep Erkunt-Armagan, is currently establishing ArmaTrac Limited in the UK and is actively seeking dealers to sell the range.

The ArmaTrac 1104 offers 110hp and comes with a 16F/16R ZF transmission. Options include up to eight spool valves.

“We’re looking forward to introducing our robust ArmaTrac range to British farmers for the first time this spring,” she said. “The tractors are designed, engineered and built with simplicity and efficiency in mind. We are always listening to farmers’ needs, wants and dreams and try to apply their thoughts to our innovations and developments.
“Erkunt Industries produced hundreds of thousands of parts for other tractor manufacturers before we began building our own so we know very well how to make highquality, reliable machines that meet the needs of modern farmers.
    During 2012 ArmaTrac launched
90hp, 100hp and 110hp with the aim of increasing its market share both at home in Turkey and through exports worldwide. The new tractors include advanced features including electronic, loadsensing hydraulics, a PTO shaft with four different speed options, and powershift transmissions.

ArmaTrac tractors boast a dust-proof, ergonomic, two-door cab.

Each ArmaTrac tractor also has its own air compressor, allowing an external air line as well as powering a double circuit trailer braking system. The firm’s dust-proof, ergonomic, two-door, luxury cab provides high visibility, air-conditioning options and a heightandtilt adjustable steering column for driver comfort. External hydraulic lift and PTO control buttons are also fitted.
