Claas: Lamma launch for new Arion 500 and 600 Series

As Claas begins a year of celebrations to mark its centenary in 2013, the firm will use the Lamma Show to launch the latest Arion 500 and 600 Series tractors. The Arion range has proven a major seller for Claas and the new generation models build on this success and feature the latest engine technology to meet Stage IIIB emissions regulations.
The most noticeable new feature for operators, however, is the cab, which is the same as that used on the top-of-the-range Axion 900 tractors launched in 2011. This sets a new standard for tractors in the Arion power sector.
The cab is positioned slightly further forward which allows the rear pillars to be moved forward and a curved rear window to be added to provide exceptional rear visibility. The cab has just five pillars so also boasts greater all-round visibility.
Internally, the slimline dashboard is mounted on the adjustable steering column that can be swung up out of the way for easy entry, and up to five different seat options are available.

The latest Claas Arion 650 features a Deere Powersystems Powertech PVX engine that meets the Stage IIIB emissions standard.

The new Arion is powered by Deere Powersystems Powertech PVX engines, with emissions treatment technology including a diesel oxidation filter and diesel particulate filter, that offer higher power and torque levels. The tractors offer maximum power outputs range from 145-184hp, driving through the well-proven and highly efficient Claas Hexashift transmission.
As previously, all new Arion models are available in either CIS or Cebis variants. CIS models retain the Drivestick transmission control, while Cebis versions, in addition to having the screen incorporated into the armrest, are controlled using the new CMotion multifunction control unit.
