UK distributor Agrihealth Ltd will launch the Tailwell 2 Power Tail Trimmer at Livestock 2012 (NEC, Birmingham – September 4/5).
Designed in New Zealand, the light, fast and robust trimmer can be used on any drill with a 14-volt battery unit. The machine, which was introduced after tail docking was banned in the country in 2006, will completely trim a tail in 10 seconds.
Cylindrical cutters give an all-round trim from one pass up the tail with no risk of cuts to animal or operator. Weighing less than half a kilo, the Power Tail Trimmer is easy to use and easy to service.
The unit makes tail trimming in the milking parlour or cattle crush speedier, simpler and safer. As such, it’s a huge step forward in maintaining high standards of hygiene and animal health.
