Lemken: Upgrades for Sirius 8 and Sirius 10 sprayers

UK farmers will have their first opportunity to see upgraded versions of Lemken’s Sirius 8 and Sirius 10 sprayers at Cereals 2012 in Lincolnshire on June 13/14.

The Sirius models have become very popular since their launch at Agritechnica 2007. With up to 1,900 litre tank capacity, they have the ability to transform modern arable tractors into compact but high-output crop sprayers.

Lemken’s Quick-connect system keeps the weight of the sprayer close to the tractor, adding to stability on smaller tractors, but allows space to be created to connect and disconnect the sprayer. The rear-folding aluminium boom offers a safe and secure transport facility, even at high speeds, while adjustable boom suspension ensures maximum stability across a range of operating conditions.

The new Sirius models retain all of their proven features with the addition of several more. They now also offer: up to 30m boom width; boom recirculation as standard on the Sirius 10; up to nine spray sections, with ability to select the section widths without changes to pipework; optional automatic control of boom functions such as headland management and the folding process; Isobus control options; and reduced overall height and weight.

The new Sirius 8 and Sirius 10 will be available to buy from autumn 2012. The Sirius 8 has a starting price of £16,449, while the Sirius 10 costs from £17,787 (autumn 2012 prices).
