Massey Ferguson: Four new 7600 Series models launched

Massey Ferguson is extending its award-winning MF 7600 Series with the addition of four new six-cylinder, medium-power tractors from 140-175hp (max) that come with a wide choice of transmissions and specifications.
   The new additions are available with a choice of Massey Ferguson’s leading Dyna-4, Dyna-6 or Dyna-VT transmissions, depending on model: MF 7614 (140hp), Dyna-4; MF 7615 (150hp), Dyna-4, Dyna-6 ECO or Dyna-VT; MF 7616 (160hp), Dyna-6 ECO or Dyna-VT; MF 7618 (175hp), Dyna-6 ECO or Dyna-VT.
As well as inheriting the family’s excellent power-to-weight ratio and versatile credentials, the latest tractors also bring together the best features of their predecessors with significant new technology to boost performance and increase comfort and economy. These benefits have already been acknowledged on the larger MF 7600 Series, which won Machine of the Year at Agritechnica 2011.
The four new models will replace the equivalent six cylinder tractors in the existing MF 5400, MF 6400 and MF 7400 Series. At 175hp, however, the new MF 7618 is completely new and is unique in this sector. Weighing in at 1,000kg less than major rivals, it provides exceptional power-to-weight ratio and is ideal for lighter cultivations and drilling as well as high performance transport work.
In common with the larger MF 7600s, the latest medium-power models also have a completely redesigned cab that provides more interior space, extra visibility and great comfort along with new control options.
Like their larger siblings, the new 140-175hp MF 7600s come in Essential, Efficient and Exclusive specification levels to suit users’ different requirements. There is also a choice of Control Arm options including new multi-function joysticks as well as Speedsteer, which improves headland turning efficiency.
Designed to work in a wide range of applications, the MF 7600 is available with a range of transmissions to suit each specific task. Dyna-4 is a highly efficient transmission that for the first time now comes with AutoDrive. Already standard on the Dyna-6 ECO transmission, this provides automatic changing and operates in two driving modes, allowing operators to select the most appropriate to suit the work and his preference.
Available on MF 7614 and MF 7615 models, Dyna-4 provides 16 forward and 16 reverse gears with completely clutchless operation after starting up. It is equipped with the renowned Power Control lever that operates three functions, making the tractor ideal for loader work.
The Dyna-6 ECO can be specified on the three most powerful models and is a well-proven transmission that offers completely clutchless operation via the left-hand Power Control or right-hand armrest levers. It provides a total of 24 speeds from six Dynashift (powershift) steps in four gears. The ECO feature allows top speeds to be achieved at low engine revs, which cuts noise and fuel consumption. Again, AutoDrive is also standard on all models.
The three larger models can also be equipped with the continuously variable Dyna-VT transmission that offers optimum economy and efficiency by precise control of forward speed and minimising engine speed.
The standard Dynamic Tractor Management (Dyna-TM) automatically adjusts the engine speed according to load.
All the new MF 7600 tractors are powered by the latest Agco Sisu Power, six-cylinder engines. These have common-rail fuel injection and four valves/cylinder along with the company’s latest selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.
The design of this low-maintenance SCR system offers high power and torque, excellent performance and fuel economy. It fits neatly into the tractor with a new diesel oxidation catalyser that optimises AdBlue consumption, while the new exhaust catalysers and slip cats are mounted discretely within the silencer.
Power Management automatically provides up to 25hp extra power for tractors equipped with the Dyna-4 and the Dyna-6 ECO transmissions. This improves output for a range of applications when conditions allow, taking account of PTO operation, travel speed and load.
For the first time, service intervals have increased to 500 hours, which is 25% longer than before, reducing maintenance costs substantially.

The new MF 7615 offers 150hp.

Operators will appreciate the cab structure on the new MF 7600 tractors that features a curved front screen, increased visibility and a new roof with additional lights.
All come with the option of suspension – a choice of either the mechanical version or the hydraulic OptiRide Plus, which offers the ability to adjust the level of damping. There is also the option of electro-hydraulic selection of PTO speeds.
As well as a new dashboard and fully adjustable steering column, the seat now swivels further to provide more legroom and extra comfort when looking to the back. A new control format on the right-hand pillar now clusters together many commonly used switches and buttons as well as the ignition switch.
To ease turning on the headland and manoeuvring in yards is the useful Speedsteer option. This allows operators to reduce the number of steering wheel revolutions needed to turn the front wheels from lock-to-lock.
As well as the option of factory-fitted auto guidance, via the Topcon System 150, users can also choose to fit the advanced Datatronic Control Centre Display, with Isobus compatibility and video camera inputs.
In common with the existing, more powerful MF 7600s, the smaller versions also now have a range of control layout and joysticks, depending on model and specification.
On the Exclusive specification tractors, available in Dyna-6 and Dyna-VT transmissions, the armrest contains a Multipad joystick. This enables a number of functions to be controlled with the right hand, for example reverse shuttle and linkage and spool valve controls. On the Efficient specification models, the armrest contains the T handle familiar to MF 5400, MF 6400 and MF 7400 tractor users.
On both armrests it’s possible to have an additional electronic joystick that is ideal for loader operation and also contains a reverse shuttle and speed change.
Essential specification tractors have a new console on the right-hand side containing all the main levers and frequently used switches and controls. These models are also available with a new high specification joystick to ease loader operation. All the new MF 7600 Series with Dyna-4 or Dyna-6 transmissions are available in Essential versions.
