Agrifac: Quatro now available with tracks

Agrifac’s Quatro can now be ordered with front tracks.

Dutch-based Agrifac has extended its range of sugar beet harvesters by adding a model with front tracks.

The QuatroOptiTrackPlus has been developed in line with Agrifac’s “4Es for growers” concept: Efficient, Economical, Ergonomic and Ecological. By linking all new products to these four Es, Agrifac hopes to stay one step ahead in development and innovation.

The new tracked harvester is aimed atbeet growers and contractors that don’t need large tank capacities and that want to minimise the pressure their harvester puts on the soil. Whereas Agrifac’s Big Six has six wide wheels for optimum weight distribution and lower ground pressures, the Quatro OptiTrackPlus uses a set of front tracks that are 760mm wide and 2,250mm long for better distribution of the weight of the topper and lifter.

The tracks replace the front wheels and are fitted directly to the spindles to keep the steering intact. The special frame makes sure that the pivoting point of the track remains as low as possible. This prevents them from tilting caused by traction. This guarantees an optimal weight distribution over the total track surface. The large contact surface not only ensures optimal weight distribution, but also makes it possible to continue lifting beet when conditions get difficult.

The Agrifac OptiTrackPlus weighs 20t empty or 32t fully loaded.

Agrifac says the main advantages of the Quatro OptiTrackPlus are: lightweight machine capable of lifting beet in almost all circumstances; no loss of traction because the tracks keep working horizontally; optimum traction on all types of surfaces and in all circumstances; lower ground pressures preventing soil structure damages; and quicker access to soils with a lower carrying capacity.
