Hutchinsons has launched a new, free agronomy app for smartphones. The Fieldwise app provides growers and advisers with a selection of useful agronomy tools and information, together with quick links to contact Hutchinsons while on the move.
The Fieldwise app has a range of practical tools including in-field calculators for seed and fertiliser rates, handy unit converters for data as well as a crop sprayer mix sequence feature. Agronomy news from PRGO, Niab-Tag, Rothamsted Research and Hutchinsons is accessible, while market reports and up-to-the-minute grain prices are also available on the app in association with Gleadell.
A Hutchinsons comprehensive contacts list will allow users to call at the touch of a screen, depots, service contacts, key staff, affiliates and service centres. This screen also allows for feedback from users and suggestions for future features.
Initially available as a free download for the iPhone and Android smartphones, a Blackberry version will be developed in the future.
