Dieci: New features from AgriMax 60.9

Dieci unveiled its new Agri Max 60.9 model at Agritechnica 2011. The machine can lift 6,000kg to 8.7m and is powered by a 127hp FPT Industrial engine driving a 120 lit/min hydraulic pump.
At 2.42m wide and 2.57m tall, the 60.9 has a choice of hydrostatic tranmissions including a new Vario System unit that offers three speed settings: 0-49km/hr; 0-20km/hr; and an adjustable setting that allows the operator to set the top speed of the unit. This means the engine can be operated at high revs for optimal htdraulic capacity without the machine travelling faster than the operator might wish.
Another novel feature of the 60.9 is an
innovative bucket with a larger tilt angle (146 degrees instead of usual 126/127 degrees). This means it is much easier to empty the loaded bucket, making it ideal for use in a variety of roles.
The new Dieci 60.9 on the company’s stand at Agritechnica also featured a new paint scheme with a darker grey chassis and new graphics that show the name as Dieci rather than the traditional dDieci. Fine Italian design also shines through, with the sculpted weight block at the back of the machine now taking on a pleasing curved shape.

The AgriMax 60.9 is available the new Vario System transmission that offers a mode where the operator can set a maximum travel speed.

The new model comes as Dieci’s UK distributor, Dieci Telehandlers Ltd, celebrates its first anniversary. The company, which is majority owned by the Italian manufactuer, is based near Sturminster Newton, Dorset, and is headed by managing director Philip Lawday.
“We now have 10 staff in the UK and a parts stock in Dorset servicing a network of 37 dealers across Great Britain,” Mr Lawday told What’s new in Farming. “As well as the agricultural market, we’re also making progress in the construction sector with the Roto 360-degree handlers and with industrial users with the heavy-duty Hercules telehandlers that can lift 21t to 10m.”
