Agrifac revealed its latest Quatro sugar beet harvester at Agritechnica 2009. The revised machine features a new operator cab and completely new styling.
The new six-row Quatro will be available with the new Agrifac CombiPlus topper. The topper works well in every situation, with auger and leaf spreading or as an integral defoliator.
Equally spread sugar beet leaves release their nutrients more evenly, resulting in more uniform successive crops, a big advantage for the grower. With the Agrifac CombiPlus topper, the contractor benefits from a highly versatile harvester.
All new Agrifac machines, including the Quatro, are equipped with the canbus control system. This enables the operator to see and control all the relevant features on one central terminal from topping to steering, and from cleaning to unloading. Any necessary adjustments can be made quickly and conveniently.
Other new features include:
- the cleaning turbines have been enlarged to 1,550mm resulting in a 21% larger cleaning surface;
- 25% wider elevator belt at 1.0m wide;
- decreased engine rpm to 1,300 rpm;
- increased side-shift possibilities of harvester and topper;
- independent and automatic steering on all wheels; and
- 33% increased tank capacity to 12t.
