Spaldings has added a hand-held wind-speed meter from Kestrel to its range to complement the current sprayer nozzle range.
The tool provides users with accurate wind-speed readings to comply with record-keeping requirements when crop spraying.
The handy pocket-sized meter is manufactured from high-impact resistant moulded plastic and comes complete with a protective cover making it the perfect on-farm companion.
“Regulations surrounding the application of pesticides have become ever more stringent,” Spaldings’ Nigel Whelan said. “Our wind-speed meter is accurate to plus or minus three per cent, which means this is a crucial tool for farmers and growers who require accurate measurements to spray safely and within the recommended guidelines.”
The wind-speed meter is easy to use with just three buttons below the large easy-to-read liquid-crystal display. Each device is supplied with a certificate of conformity as wind speed accuracy is tested during manufacture.
Wind speed can be measured in knots, m/s, km/hr, mph, ft/min or the Beaufort scale, and the unit comes complete with a five-year warranty.
