Claas: Disco 9100 C Autoswather is aimed at large farms

The Disco 9100 C Autoswather is a professional mower combination with a swathing belt that Claas says will be ideal for contractors and large farms.
Through its combination of an impressive 9.1m mowing width and individually folding belt units, this mower sets new standards in forage harvesting. As well as depositing a single mowing swath, the ability of the belts to fold both ways allows the mower to consolidate an 18.0m mowing width into 12.0m by driving back and forth once. Working together with the Liner 3500, which has a working width of over 12.50m, this makes it possible to combine 18.0m into a single swath. Initial field tests show that this allows the output of the chopping chain to be increased by up to 40 per cent.
Alongside its impressive surface output, the Disco 9100 C Autoswather is equipped with all the proven features of the Disco Contour series. This includes Active Float hydropneumatic suspension, a suspension technology that transfers the weight of the mower onto the tractor, which then allows frictional resistance generated during mowing to be converted into rolling resistance. This protects the sward, prevents crop contamination and demonstrably reduces fuel consumption by up to 20 per cent.
Thanks to the particular gear ratio it uses, the tried-and-tested P-Cut cutterbar with its self-cleaning effect can be operated at a reduced speed of 850 rpm. This reduces the fuel consumption of the mower by a further 16 per cent. The P-Cut cutterbar is protected by the combination of the Safetylink safety module and a hydraulic collision protection device, which lifts the mower over the obstacle in the event of a collision, thus avoiding damage to the bar.
The Disco mower combination also has a few tricks up its sleeve when it comes to comfort. Thanks to the LS comfort hydraulic system, all functions can be conveniently accessed with the Claas Communicator or any other Isobus-compatible control terminal. It is also possible to program all the important functions onto the joystick in the tractor.
Other practical details include the integrated blade box, which comes as standard; the optional hydraulically folding protective covers; and low-maintenance drive shaft. The Disco 9100 C Autoswather can also be parked in transport position to save space.
