Claas is now also offering the proven Active Float suspension technology for the Disco 3100 F Profil front mower, which has a 3.00m mowing width.
This suspension technology enables your mower to react quickly and easily to different ground conditions, thereby keeping crop contamination to an absolute minimum. At the same time, it has been proven that up to 20 per cent of fuel consumption is saved by shifting the weight of the mower onto the tractor. This means that the frictional resistance generated by the cutterbar during mowing is converted to rolling resistance and transferred onto the tractor tyres.
On the Disco 3100 F Profil front mower, the Active Float system consists of two single-acting cylinders connected to a total of four pressure accumulators, which replace the tension springs. It is also possible to conveniently adjust the balancing pressure to current conditions from the cab while driving, using a control valve.
Thanks to the particular gear ratio it uses, the tried-and-tested P-Cut cutterbar with its self-cleaning effect can be operated at a reduced speed of 850 rpm. This reduces the fuel consumption of the mower by a further 16 per cent. The P-Cut cutterbar is protected by the combination of the Safetylink safety module and a hydraulic collision protection device, which lifts the mower over the obstacle in the event of a collision, thus avoiding damage to the bar.
