Claas UK has commissioned five limited-edition Axion tractors with a special silver livery to celebrate the sale of the company’s 5,000th Claas tractor in March 2011, a tremendous achievement for a company that is relatively new to the tractor market.
The five special tractors – one of each model from the Axion range – will be offered to five customers who ordered an Axion of the same specification during a special sales campaign running from April 15 to June 1, 2011.
The Axion 810 to 850 models have rated power outputs from 163-225hp, with the top of the range 850 offering a maximum of 260hp with Claas Power Management.
All customers buying an Axion tractor during the campaign period will also get an additional £5,000 discount on the retail price, and a special 1:32 collector’s model of the silver Axion.
The speed with which Claas has reached this milestone, in a very competitive tractor market in the UK, is indicative of the advances the company has made with its tractor portfolio since taking over Renault Agriculture in 2003. During this short space of time, the tractor range has not only been completely replaced with new models, but also expanded considerably with 72 tractor models now available ranging in power output from 72-524hp.
