Vaderstad: Next-generation Spirit Drill launched

Vaderstad has launched the Spirit Next seed drill with a new metering system called Fenix II and a unique design of a cushioned rubber mounting for the coulter assembly.
The extremely strong TriForce rubber mounting gives a high coulter pressure, which is particularly effective when drilling on heavy soils and ensures a quiet and maintenance free ride. The entire coulter assembly is very stable in both the working and transport position. Soil contouring is impressive, even at high drilling speeds.
Spirit Next also has a new corrosion-proof metering system that ensures consistency even at very low seed rates of less than 1kg/ha. Metering is controlled by a powerful electric motor. A flap for shutting off the flow of seed to the drill system makes it easy to work on the seed house even when the hopper is full.
As an option, the Spirit Next can be fitted with the Biodrill that gives the option of drilling ley and catch crops at the same time as cereals with a high level of accuracy. Pneumatic metering, electric drive and a 36-litre seed hopper allows very accurate adjustment of the seed rate between 1-30kg/ha.
The recommended retail price for the Spirit Next with system disc starts at £52,920.
