Case IH: Dealer network to offer Tracker theft-recovery systems

Case IH has signed a deal with Tracker – the leader in stolen vehicle recovery and vehicle tracking solutions – that will see the manufacturer’s UK dealer network offering Tracker stolen vehicle recovery and vehicle tracking products to its customers.
The equipment is said to provide real protection from the devastating effects that loss of vital agricultural and plant equipment can bring.
Tracker‘s managing director, Stephen Doran, said he understood the needs of the agricultural sector and knew security was a major concern.
“After all, the loss of a tractor or combine can have a devastating impact on a business,” he said. “Crucially, the fitting of a Tracker system can mean that stolen tractors, combines or any other form of agricultural equipment are recovered and returned within a matter of days.”
Every year, in the UK alone, an estimated £50-70 million worth of plant and agricultural machinery is stolen, but only five per cent is ever recovered. Between June 2009 and July 2010 Tracker recovered more than £3.5 million of stolen plant and farming equipment in the UK. Staggeringly, 48 per cent of the items recovered were worth £10,000 or less.
“In partnership with Tracker, we are enabling our dealers to deliver a solution that combines the latest technology to provide a critical defence against vehicle and machinery theft, as well as a new level of usage and performance information, in order to get the best out of farming and agriculture equipment,”
Case IH parts marketing manager Alan Samson said. “Tracker has an unrivalled reputation as the leader in security and tracking technology, which means we can offer the very best protection against theft.”
