Strautmann has introduced a new concept to its loader wagons that is designed to optimise performance and save farmers both time and money.
The Continuous Flow System (CFS) helps to increase the efficiency of the loading system on the Strautmann wagons through the addition of an accelerator roller. The roller is positioned between the pick-up reel and the rotor unit, and enables the forage to be distributed more efficiently across the rotor, thus reducing power peaks and stress on the driveline system.
The rotor on the CFS machine is positioned 10cm higher inside the conveying unit than on standard machines, which shortens the conveyor duct and therefore enables the transport of the chopped forage into the wagon faster.
In addition, the pick-up reel has been re-designed to give a lower pivot point that means it is more responsive to the ground contours and thus reduces pressure on the wheels. The tines have also been rearranged to form a spiral assembly, ensuring that there is a continuous feed of forage to the accelerator roller. These modifications of the conveying unit mean that fuel consumption is reduced by 10%.
CFS is currently available on the Giga Vitesse wagons in the Strautmann range. All of the new features of the CFS combine to set the benchmark for optimal performance and thus increase the competitive position of Strautmann in the Loader Wagon market.
Grassland 2010 will showcase the first CFS machine in the UK, along with a selection of the other Loader Wagons in the Strautmann range, which is nowdistributed throughout the UK by Reco.
