Reco has introduced a new product to its range of Fella grassland equipment. The TS10055 rake will make its UK debut at the2010 Scotgrassdemonstration.
This newest machine is also the largest, with a working width of between 8.8-10.0m, which is hydraulically adjustable. Despite its large working width, the rake is extremely manoeuvrable due to its progressive action steering that ensures the rake always follows precisely the tractors path. This not only makes it easier to pull, reducing tyre wear and enabling smooth running of the machine even at high speeds.
The tyres are approved for transport at 50km/hr ensuring that minimal time is lost when moving between fields.
The wide chassis gives the TS10055 a lower centre of gravity, increasing its stability and optimising its performance on uneven ground and steep hillsides. The unit’s 18-inch wide wheels on the rotor chassis also add to its stability.
Simple adjustment of the working height via a hand crank ensures that optimal height is achieved in all ground conditions and helps to protect the tines (thus increasing service life) while also maintaining a high quality of forage. Automatic height adjustment from the tractor cab is planned to be available as an option on machines next season.
The driveline is well protected with an overrun clutch in addition to overload protection on each rotor.
