New Holland’s Basildon plant is to build two special-edition Blue Power tractors to mark the success of the brand’s award-winning T7070 and T7060 tractors. The T7070 Auto Command won both the prestigious 2010 Tractor of the Year title and the Golden Tractor for Design award at Agritechnica 2009, while the T7060 achieved the same double in 2007.
Both Blue Power tractors feature bodywork painted in the strikingly different, one-off colour of Maserati blue. They also come with unique silver and chrome styling additions to make them extra special.
Both models are available fully equipped with SideWinder II armrest and IntelliView III screen, while they can also be specified with IntelliSteer auto guidance and a front linkage.
AutoCommand is New Holland’s easy-to-use continuously variable transmission, while Power Command gives the best-in-class full powershift transmission with the smoothest gear shifts in its class and adaptive automatic modes.
Both awards acknowledge New Holland’s commitment to offering its customers the best technology and solutions for easier and more productive farming. The Golden Tractor for Design award recognised New Holland’s design excellence, particularly on the SideWinder II armrest with its intuitive controls, focussing on ease-of-use and operator comfort. This new console includes the CommandGrip control lever and the IntelliView III touch screen monitor, which is the first one on the market to integrate tractor and implement controls, as well as those associated with the IntelliSteer automatic guidance systems. The introduction of these controls was a direct result of communication with, and feedback from, New Holland customers.
The T7000 Series is now the range of tractors that has achieved the most top positions in the Tractor of the Year award’s 13-year history.
