The latest addition to the Reco-Sulky range of machinery, the DPX28 mounted fertiliser spreader, made its debut appearance in the UK at Lamma 2010.
Destined for middle-sized farms, the new model offers a working width from 12-28m. Even fertilisers with a specific weight clearly less than 1, like granulated urea, can be spread to 24m wide.
Like its predecessors in the DPX range, the DPX28 is very easy to set-up. Thanks to the DPX System, with its moveable chutes that alloow stepless width adjustment by moving the fertiliser placement point, the operator does not have to adjust the discs or notched vanes.
Available with a standard 1,500-litre capacity, or extended up to 2,100 litres, the DPX28 remains easy to load with a 2.40m loading width. It has many standard features for its category including a clevice hitch, the Sulky patented oscillating rate regulator, a stainless steel safety guard, road lights on a stainless steel support, a top-of-the-range PTO shaft with torque limiter, the exclusive Tribord border device with in-cab electric controls, and free online access to the Fertitest setting-assistance site.
The anti-corrosion protection on the DPX28 is done in 13 stages, one of which is a complete dip by robot into a bath of hydrosoluble primer and a final finish in three layers answering to the latest environmental norms.
An optional DPB version of the spreader with rate proportional to forward speed is available. It includes the latest generation Vision-X electronic control box.
