The Haybob twin-rotor tedder/rake combination that remains the mainstay of many smaller hay- and silage-making operations is now available from Kuhn Farm Machinery.
Previously sold by Vicon, the Haybob is now a Kuhn machine following the company’s acquisition of the Kverneland Group’s baler and grassland equipment division (including its factory at Geldorp, in the Netherlands) a little more than 12 months ago.
Simple to operate and with a quick transition between tedding and raking, both current Haybob models offer a standard 3.0m spreading and tedding working width. The smaller Haybob 300 operates as a central-delivery rake (3.0m working width) and the Haybob 360 is a side-delivery rake (3.6m).
The two models have minimum PTO power requirements of 15hp and 20hp respectively and weigh 300 and 345kg.
The Haybob 300 is priced at £2,698 and the Haybob 360 costs £4,077.
Vicon will continue to sell its own Haybob model until the end of 2010, and will supply spare parts through its dealer network until 2020.
