In order to meet the increasing sophistication of agricultural work across Europe, Goodyear has announced a significant increase to the number of sizes in the Goodyear Optitrac DT800 range of narrow row-crop tyres.
The Optitrac concept is unique in the traction drive radial farm segment. It allows the farmer to fit a range of tyres with different widths but with similar rolling circumferences on new or existing machines to expand versatility and flexibility. This feature can result in an increase in productivity lowering the cost/hour of various applications
The newly introduced Optitrac DT800 sizes, covering 34-54 inch rim dimensions, have been specifically developed for tractors working on row-crop applications, on spraying equipment and in any other application where narrow tyres are required.
The DT800 design follows the Optitrac philosophy. It has a tread design which provides excellent self-cleaning and traction and has a round shoulder profile to prevent crop damage. The Optitrac DT800 also has a premium tread depth to allow excellent traction and a high number of working hours. In addition, the range is rated to carry the same load at 40 and 50km/hr.
The addition of these new sizes now means there are now 27 different size and load variations available in the Optitrac DT800 range. The tyres havealready been approved by several machine manufacturers that will fit the DT800 as original equipment on their new vehicles.
