Case IH displayed the new Scout utility vehicle on its stand at Lamma 2010.
The ATV was recently launched in the United States – in 14hp and 23hp petrol and 20hp diesel models – and the company wanted to talk to UK customers to find out if there could be market for it on this side of the Atlantic.
If the Scout does come to the UK, it will most likely be in left-hand drive format and with the diesel engine only.
Four-wheel, two-passenger utility vehicles are growing in popularity because of their flexibility and the perception that they are safer than quad bikes.
The Scout features a 40km/hr CVT transmission, is 2.66cm long, 1.39m wide and 1.85m tall. It weighs 725kg empty and has plated gross vehicle weight of about 1,250kg, including a carrying capacity of about 360kg in the rear cargo box.
