Ropa: Improved EuroMaus 4 has greater output

German manufacturer Ropa revealed its latest EuroMaus self-propelled sugar beet cleaner/loader at Agritechnica 2009.
Now in its fourth incarnation, the three biggest changes for the 2010 machine are a wider header, now 10m compared to 8.7m before, a cab that can be raised by 1.2m and a longer, 14m loading arm.
The wider header means that taller beet heaps are now possible in the field, that length-for-length now hold 50% more beet than before. The ability to raise the cab means that the operator can now get a better vantage point for seeing into the lorry being loaded.
The new EuroMaus is powered by a 326hp Mercedes-Benz engine that has a normal operating speed of 1,250rpm. It is claimed to be capable of loading up to 550t/hr.

There will be a limited production of the EuroMaus 4 in 2010, with UK availability likely in 2011.

The loader’s header now features an auto-reverse function that engages if a stone gets jammed in its rollers. In total, the latest EuroMaus has a total cleaning area of 32.69 square metres.
