Buschhoff: Twinline Tourmix feed mill

THE fact that any feed milling or mixing process is sequential means that there is a time delay between loading the machine and the final mix appearing at the other end.

To limit the time wasted and to boost the output of mobile milling and mixing rigs, Buschhoff has introduced a twin-line machine.

The Tourmix Twinpower has two mixers, two weighers and two blowers. While one mixer is being filled, the second can be discharging. By working the two lines in tandem, the machine’s single hammer-mill and roller-mill are kept working continuously, maximising output.

Twin lines mean that two different rations can be processed simultaneously or both can be run in parallel for maximum output. The Tourmix Twinpower has a 25t/hr hammer-mill and a 20t/hr roller-mill and sits on a 6m rigid lorry chassis. It needs power from a 480hp engine.

Prices start at £235,000 (November 2009).
