Grimme: Maxi-Bed system increases potato and vegetable output

Grimme has developed a range of machines to offer vegetable producers to access its new Maxi-Bed-system a 2.7m wide bed is separated to plant three rows of potatoes into it.
The models developed for the system include: the Bedforma BF270, the Separator CS240, the Rotary Tilla RT280, the Potato Planter GL33T and the Elevator Harvester GT300.
Importantly all machines in this range meet the width restriction for road transport of 3.3m. In practice this system gives an output increase per hectare of up to 50% because of the 1.5 times wider bed.
There is also 10% more productive land available per hectarebecause of the smaller number of wheel tracks compared to traditional systems, especially in the vegetable production.

The Grimme GT300 elevator harvester is matched to the Maxi-Bed system.
