Like the company’s UX trailed sprayers, the UG is also now available in two model ranges: the UG Special with 250 lit/min piston diaphragm pump and the UG Super with 370 lit/min twin-pump system. This reflects once again the Amazone philosophy of providing all farmers with the solution that best suits their requirements.
For years, the UG trailed field sprayers, with capacities of 2,400 and 3,200 litres, have been the ideal entry-level model in the Amazone range of trailed sprayers. These extremely light machines are equipped with mechanical or hydraulic drawbar steering and feature a wide range of equipment, for instance, even the automatic boom ride Distance Control which is available as an optional extra.
Amazone is also now adopting the new operator station philosophy derived from the UX series concept in the UG field sprayers. The unit consisting of intake valve and suction filter that is manufactured entirely in-house by Amazone and until now was used exclusively in the UX.
As a further innovation, the tried-and-tested 60-litre induction hopper with three auxiliary nozzles used with the UX series will now be used in UG sprayers. The fill level indicator is now in a clearly visible location above the left mudguard; in addition, the fill level can be read off electronically as standard via the Amaspray or Amatron operator control terminals.
Thanks to the new injector technology, the UG Special and UG Super models have a filling capacity of up to 500 lit/min. Although equipped with a compact two-inch intake valve, UG field sprayers have a three-inch suction port that enables them to deliver this extremely effective filling performance.
