Kongskilde has introduced a new series of heavy-duty cultivators for traditional stubble cultivation and mulch tillage – called Delta Flex, it combines the best qualities from rigid tined three-row cultivators and new technology.
The idea with the new Delta Flex stubble cultivator from Kongskilde is to ensure an intensive stubble cultivation of the soil in one pass.
The improved incorporation of residues in the soil results in a quicker decomposition. The soil preparation can take place at a working depth between 6 and 25 cm, always followed by a firm
re-consolidation of the mixed soil. This solution increases the decomposition of plant residues and brings weed seeds and waste grains to germinate quickly.
The Kongskilde Delta Flex has three rows of rigid tines for intensive stubble cultivation. The tine distance is 33cm, and the tines can be equipped with wear resistant shares. As standard the Delta Flex is equipped with wide wing shares to ensure a full cut of the working width. By dismounting these wings, working depths of up to 25cm can be achieved.
The combination of a 80cm high frame clearance and three rows of tines ensures a problem free passage of soil and field residues through the machine.
A large diameter rear-mounted crumble roller or the new Kongskilde Max Pack steel ring roller ensures good contact between plant residues and soil. It finishes the stubble cultivation and recreates optimum conditions for a fast decomposition.
In dry conditions the Max Pack roller improves the water transport from underneath due to the sidewards packing of the soil. The open structure at the soil surface improves the absorbtion of water from heavy rainfalls. The rear roller also secures precise depth control.
In order to obtain a more equal re-consolidation the Delta Flex is equipped with a levelling section just in front of the rear roller. This levelling section can either be a hockey stick leveller or a disc leveller. The disc leveller consists of individual suspended sections with two discs per section.
The Kongskilde 3 row Delta Flex is available as a trailed and fully mounted machine. Working widths of 2.5m, 3.0m, 4.0m and 5.0m are available as fully mounted versions, and 4.0m, 5.0m, 6.0m and 7.0m as trailed.
